Whatsapp is now ready to take unofficial apps it never launched which are called third-party apps used in accessing WhatsApp. The company has announced it will temporarily ban all accounts using third-party versions of the app. The ban importantly targets users of apps like GBWhatsapp and Whatsapp plus.

WhatsApp has warned users against the perils of using unofficial apps such as WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp, but the wide range of features offered by those apps makes it worth the risk. But one of the biggest risks of using such modified WhatsApp clones is that users are at a safety hazard as the company cannot validate their security practices.

Now, WhatsApp is taking a harsh step to convince users of WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp to switch to the official app or face dire consequences. WhatsApp will start banning user accounts that are used on unofficial versions of the app.

These apps are altered and unsupported versions of its instant messaging service. On one hand, Whatsapp disclosed that the use of these apps violates its terms of service. Thereby, users should expect in-app messages informing them they’ve been “temporarily banned.”

The ban can be lifted when they uninstall the third-party app, install the original Whatsapp and sign in back to their account. The company also added that they do not support these third-party apps because they can’t validate their security practices.

Whatsapp has also advised users to back up their chats and Whatsapp has provided a detailed explanation for GBWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus users on how to go about it.

We all know GbWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus are the most popular third-party apps for Whatsapp that offers some additional Whatsapp features that improve the user experience.

These apps have more features and easily customizable than the original version of Whatsapp. Be that as it may, we ain’t sure if Whatsapp has started banning users of these third-party apps. But when they start, a huge number of people will be banned.
