WhatsApp Brings new feature to curb fake news


Whatsapp a social messaging platform, launched a new feature that helps you understand which message was forwarded by labeling it as “Forwarded”.

This feature would help curb fake news that is sent to you, but also not forwarding to another person which might be harmful. In addition, you can report spam or block a contact in one tap.

This new feature will protect every users from knowing what news that are forwarded are not worth reading.

As stated in Whatsapp Blog: Starting today, WhatsApp will indicate which messages you receive have been forwarded to you. This extra context will help make one-on-one and group chats easier to follow. It also helps you determine if your friend or relative wrote the message they sent or if it originally came from someone else.

To see this new forwarded label, you need to have the latest supported version of WhatsApp on your phone.
